A Path Toward Healing

Resmaa Menakem, an American author, artist and healer based in Minneapolis, is one of the first mental health professionals to bring recent discoveries in neurobiology and somatic healing methods to the study of historical trauma. Over more than 20 years Resmaa has developed global renown as a leading specialist of racialized trauma. Through his work, developing concepts such as Somatic Abolitionism, he uses Anti-Racism theory and practices of culture building to offer a path toward healing all from the wounds of racism.
