Bringing Vaccines to the Community

This summer, Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment has been working with the Minnesota Department of Health to bring their mobile vaccine clinic to underserved neighborhoods, like the Cedar-Riverside area in Minneapolis that’s home to many Muslim Minnesotans of East African descent. They’re hoping their vaccine events can bring out the young and other members of the community so they can get vaccinated against Covid-19.

Special thanks to RISE, their executive director Nausheena Hussain, and Zaynab Abdi. You can learn more and support their organization here, and you can learn more about how to bring the mobile vaccine clinic to your area here.
