Our first issue of 2022 includes three stories all about advocating for yourself and your community. Our first story is our second feature from The Arc Minnesota, a group promoting the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We meet Nathan and his family and learn how the support he’s received from The Arc has turned him into an advocate for the organization. Our second story features Red Earth Gardens, an organic vegetable farm in the Meskwaki Nation in Iowa. Their CSA program provides resources that support and sustain their operations and the land. Our final story features two individuals with a passion for education. Their weekly black history class teaches community members about the value of engaging with our country’s past.
