Persistence of Joy: Part 2

In the second episode of this podcast series, we meet back up with filmmaker Amanda Becker and her mom, picking up the story just after the death of her mother to polio in 1953 (Amanda's mom was just two years old when her mother - Amanda's grandmother - suddenly contracted the virus and died within days, leaving behind three young toddler girls and a now bereaved husband). Hear how the family quickly evolved into a tribe of misfit kids, struggling to meet basic needs yet still finding some light and magic in the darkness.
